Born on August 8, 1948, in Atlanta, Georgia, Sarah was the daughter of the late Evelyn Minnix Sexton and Tillman Leon “T.L.” Sexton. Her life was defined by unwavering love for her family, deep faith, generosity, and a joyful spirit that touched everyone who knew her.
A Life Filled With Love and Service
Sarah grew up in both Georgia and Florida before graduating from Roosevelt High School. She later earned an Associate Degree in Accounting from Clayton State University in 1994 and built a successful career in bookkeeping and accounting. She also served as Co-President of Sexton Enterprises Inc. alongside her brother, remaining active in the family business until the day of her passing.
She married the love of her life, Richard Lee Adams, on January 5, 1968. Together they shared nearly six decades of love and devotion. Richard passed away on September 21, 2026, after a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia, just days after Sarah’s passing.

She is survived by her daughters, Sabrina (Lewis) Jordan and Rhonda (Case) Taylor; her grandchildren, Amber (Cody) Sanders, Brittany Jordan, and Jeremy Jordan; her siblings, Brenda, Pat, Chester, Tommy, and Phillip; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.
Among the family’s treasured memories is Sarah’s heartfelt message:

Her faith remained the foundation of her life, and Psalm 23 was a source of comfort and strength throughout her journey.
